I got tired of low sound quality on gaming headsets, so i bought a mic and some industrial strength velcro and attached a mic to my AKG K77s.
I got tired of having two cables leading from my headphones to my computer, and my brother had recently smashed his Creative Fatality headset, so I took the cable off of that, and put the cable from the smashed headset onto my AKG K77s, so now I have a single cable going from my headphones to my PC, and as an added bonus i have a volume control and mute switch for the mic. All you need is AKG K77s, a cable similar to the one that comes off of the Creative Fatality, a soldering iron, some solder, electrical tape, and a multimeter to check which wire goes to which part of the connectors (multimeter is highly reccomended but optional if you want to use the process of trial and error). Sorry I don't have pictures of the process (i didn't think of posting my mod on this site until i was done). Here are some pictures of the final product:
