Thinking of getting these headphones for gaming and music but i am very sceptical about getting them due to the fact that i have no clue what i will need for them. Been looking at the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD or would i need a desktop amp?

Well, for gaming, you probably want the digital sound processing of an internal sound card. Xonar DX or D1 can be combined with something like the Schiit Magni to give you a good headphone amp and Dolby Headphone surround processing.

The Titanium HD's headphone output should decently drive the 62-Ohm AKG K702 headphones.
But a headphone amplifier would be preferred.

Best to ask K702 owners on what works well at driving the K702s.
