Anyone with a cd3000 can compare the sound isolation ?
If i had to rate them i think the hd650 sound isolation would be close to 0/10 I can hear everything around me when i use them.
The cd 3000 doesnt isolate too much as well but just enough so i cant hear the cars next to my house or my computer when i have them on I'd give them about 3/10.
How would you rate the 701?
I m trying to get a good heaphone with about the same sound isolation as the cd3000 or better and without fakeleather pad for hot weather.

I've never heard the HD650 or the CD3000, but I definitely wouldn't give my HD570s or my K701s a 0/10, if only because I give my Grados that, and both of these definitely isolate more than the Grados. I'd give my Grados a 0/10, the HD570s a 1/10, and the K701s maybe a 1.5/10.

yes they do look like open headphone

I was just hoping they would isolate a little bit more than the 650. with the 650 on i can listen to music and speak with someone without trouble and not raising my voice thats why i give it a 0/10 isolation.
I cant do that with the cd3000.

I use the K701 at work and have absolutely no trouble in hearing what happens around me or talk to people with the cans on and the music at an "easy-listening" level. FWIW the K701 leak much less sound than the K340.

FWIW - with the K501 on and no music playing, I can clearly hear hot water flowing through the radiator, the faint hum of a computer fan across the room, and the low-level buzzing noise my fluorescent lamp has developed recently.

The isolation of the K701 is almost the same as the HD650

graphCompare.php

The lower the line is on the graph, the better the isolation. The CD3000 does isolate the most followed by the K701/HD650 followed by the Grado SR225

Thank you. It seems like this cans have about the same isolation as a hd650 .
Anyone have an advice for another good headphone(same level as the cd3000 and hd650) without fakeleather pad and at least a bit of isolation (i dont need great isolation just something that block the sound of computer fans and cars outside while playing music).

The akg 701 isolation actually doesnt look much worse than the cd3000 . I think i m going to give it a try.

Maybe you'll like the AKG K271 or Beyerdynamic DT 250.

The spectrum on that graph looks suspect to say the least. At frequencies nearing 20Hz, the line appears to show them amplifying the sound. That surely can't be right!!!

Passive amplification anyone? Well, it is april 1st!
