Could you listen to the first 20 seconds of track 6 "Synthesizer "

I'm trying to figure out if the distortion I'm hearing is due to a lack of headphone amp or an inherent flaw in my 701's.

i think you require an amp coz u turn the volumne too high and the k701 needs a good decent amp
