Then buy some bulk wire like Mogami which is copper and send it to some experienced DIY-ers to recable for you. That way won't cost more than 100$.

I personally love copper and use it on whatever interconnects or headphones recable I use. Silver-plated or pure silver is not my taste.

Well. I'm willing to spend the money, but was just trying to justify where all the money went into the cable to make it cost almost US$100 per meter.

I owned some black dragon K701s, and they were stunning. Great cable, great headphones.

The RAL Paradise Cryo-silver cable suited the K701 quite, quite well IMHE. Silver--done right--can easily better copper.

Doesn't the K701 already have a good copper cable, like 99.99% pure?
