I've just replaced my aging AKG K550 earpads as I had gotten advice from Mark Lawton that the angle pads would solve the bass loss, seal and fit/stability issues that I and seemingly most people have found with the otherwise quite nice AKG K550s.
I've put them on.. but I'm finding that ALL the bass presence is gone, and the sound is very tinny and just everything is quite unpleasant now. I've got the pads with the angled portion at the rear - am I doing it wrong?
