AKG K545 or Soundmagic HP150?

Im in a similar ship but looking for versatility across genre as well. I'm coming from  the Momentum which I felt didn't have the treble quantity or bass speed.
Which of K545 and HP150 is smoother and richer?  It was that quality that I liked about the Momentum.

I have not heard the K545. But I own the K550 and HP150. Both are comparable in class. I'd say that the HP150 has a bit better subwoofer bass emphasis than the K550.

HP150 does not seem flimsy to me.

K550 is more sensitive than HP150--will get louder with the same amplification. Don't know about the K545.

The two seem to be directly competitive but I haven't found a back to back comparison as yet. I had a look at the specs and they are so close! this might be helpful to others :)

Pads on the HP150 look a little thicker. It also seems to have more subbass and less upper mids.

Given that, I don't know which is richer and more engaging. Opinions from people who've heard either are very appreciated.

Come on guys we can do better than this :) I cant decide either I might just have to buy both! I love how the akg's look. I want something that is bright and detailed with warmth that doesn't overpower but certainly powerful. I just want to hear all the details and loose myself in the music!

Bright and warmth? Sounds like you want headphones that are v-shaped. The HP150 are slightly v-shaped, with emphasis that rises in the the sub bass and upper treble regions.

What kind of shape am I looking for if I want forward detailed mids bright hi's and warm lows?? Thank you so much by the way!

I don't think that exists. If you have a lot of warmth and brightness, then that is comparison to the mids, which must be demphasized (not forward). In other words, warm and bright have to be relative to something else.

Perhaps you want a more neutral headphone? Equal attention to bass, mids, and treble?

That pretty much sums up all of the BS every marketing company blurts out for audio companies. And like cel4145 here, I don't think something like that exists.
A slightly V-shaped can might be more your speed, giving you more highs and lows without sacrificing too much of the midrange.
