Thinking about picking these up for $200 as a first "high quality" headphone
 
I listen to EVERY type of music and im not partial to being a basshead but i do enjoy my bass
 
can anyone give some insight on them?
 
EDIT: Just saw on Amazon that the K551's are on sale for $200 as well there, so I'm considering those now too.
 
Will be used with my Laptop and my Note 2.

551 - bigger soundstage, but bigger/heavier
545 - more portable, but smaller soundstage

Both great value for money too.
Neither have 'booming' or dominant bass, but the bass is excellent with good extension and detail.

So no matter which one I pick will be a good buy? I've really wanted a pair of over ear cans that dont "require" an amp for a while now, and I figure this is my best chance to buy.

Portability is really key for me here, and i dont know much about soundstages yet since this will be my first nice pair, unless you count some Klipsch S4i in-ears
