I smashed one of my K 501s' pads after falling asleep while wearing them and need to get some new ones. After extensive use of the search function, I've read that my K 501s may sound better with K 601/701 pads. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I am satisfied with the default K 501s and will simply replace them if there isn't strong support for the K 601/701 pads.

For those of you who have obtained new AKG K*01 pads, how did you go about doing it? I've e-mailed "Frank" and "MZucha", but haven't received a reply. I also called an AKG phone number I stumbled upon, but it required a combination to get through. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I received a timely response from M(ark)Zucha today and he give me both phone and part numbers. I forgot to ask him about possibly replacing them with K 601/701 pads. Does anyone have input on that subject?
