Hi,
I bought a pair of AKG K450's off ebay for $60 (from Top Seller, not from China). The problem is that the cable does not twist 90 degrees anticlockwise in the socket and lock as expected, and described elsewhere. Looking inside, it seems improbable that this component could ever work (see image).
The sound is OK, not quite what I expected but concurs with the signature other reviewers report - strong bass, OK mid-range, lightweight hi-range.
Has anyone taken a look inside a pair and help me determine if this is a fake product? Everything else seems to be in place and manufactured to about the degree I'd expect in this price range (though not the original one!)
