Hi All,

I'd like to seek some advice. Have been using AKG K420 for about 3-4 years, and never dropped nor twisted the headphones. Wanted to make sure it lasts as long as possible. For past half year, I realized audio starts coming in spurts, and frequently hearing it on one side. I held the connector (to the mp3 player) and turned it around, or twisted slightly, but only works with some luck. Loved the sound quality but hated that my pleasure is often marred by such issues.

Is there a way I can DIY to 'fix' the connector? I asked the shop from which I bought the headphones, and he advised me to find a reliable repair shop to change the connector. Have no idea such a repair shop exists. Does this mean I should ditch it and get another pair?

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks,
Marc
