I send out my K340 to Larry at Headphlie last month and got them back today!.
He did his magic and added a 1.5m blackcopper cable on it. The blackcopper should be a tad warmer than the blacksilver cable, but I cannot judge that, maybe Larry can tell us about the details?

Since I also own a stock K340 I can do some A/B testing, which I did and the conclusion is simple

If you like the K340 as much as I do, please invest the money in the mods you won't be disappointed!

I'll continue listening to both the stock and modded version this weekend, and report back if I find anything interessting.

So after 2 days of listening I gave up.
The stock k340's are very nice but compared to the modded ones they sound a bit weird (or is it the other way around?). The modded K340's have a nice deep warm bass, with AKG buttersmooth mids and and nice and good highs. The unmodded have a plastic-y like mids compared, but you forget that when listen to them some more. The bass on the modded pair is a bit more but not irritating. Next up modded K340 vs. K601!
