Hey, new to the forums and wanted to start by asking a quick question.  I'm wondering if I could get some opinions on the aforementioned cans for my own personal needs.

-Price range is a non issue in this case.

-I'm looking to use the headphones for mixing and so I'm definitely looking for accurate sound that is fair to all the ranges without considering EQ (i.e. as much clarity as possible, I want to hear things raw and as they truly are).

-I'll be primarily hearing Jazz, IDM, Electronic 'Breakcore'-esque stuff, and Rap (so it will be sample heavy)

-I'm open to amp suggestions, but I think I'll be asking that question seperately later on, so I'm mostly looking for and opinion/critique of the headphones as they stand in general.

If I should put any more info I'd be more than happy to do so.  I ask the question, even if the headphones are a bit different, because I want to get one of these pairs and both have seen some really good reviews/opinions on this site and others.  I'm just not completely set on one or the other, so thanks for your input.

I believe the AKG K240DF is a 600-ohm headphone, there is also the K240 Monitor 600-Ohm.
If you have an amplifier that can drive 600-ohm headphones, then get the AKGs, they sell for $50 or less on eBay.

How would you compare the sound quality though?  I think after reading some more I'm leaning towards the K240DF because I've heard so much about the Beyers being bass heavy, and don't want to think my mix is better than it actually is.  I think I can power the K240DF's, too.

Well, for now I have an Indeed class A 6n11 that I customized with my tubes.  Like I said in the original posting though,  I just want to know you're opinions barring the amplification process, because, like I mentioned, I'm going to ask a question about that in a separate post.
