Is the headband on the AKG K240 headphones adjustable for different head sizes or is it just 1 size fits all?

Self-adjusting, but the rubber bands tend to wear out, so if you plan on getting a used one, you might want to replace that.

I see, are you referring to the rubber band that goes around the head?

No, that band is held by little straps that connect to the driver housings. The band itself is pretty robust, i have not yet had to replace one.
I might have expressed "rubber band" inartfully.

I have a hard time seeing how they "self adjust" , can you explain?

They have rubber bands that attach the head strap to the earcup.

The strap slides up and down on the wire frame.

It works. I promise.

Edit: unless your head is unusually, freakishly small - i guess.
