Just found a pair of AKG K140's for sale. They aren't in the worst condition. Can anyone tell me if they are worth buying?

If you've got a decent enough amp for them, that can handle a 600 ohm headphone, they're OK - nice midrange, but treble and bass both roll off quite early.
I wouldn't pay more than 20-30 euros for one in MINT condition.
It's just not worth it unless you're a collector or if you just want to have a listen for a while (for the experience) and sell it on later without losing much or any money.
But they're certainly NOT on the list of 'must listen to in my life' headphones.
