The title says it all. What are the relative merits of the AKG K 240 MK II versus the Grado SR 125? Both can be had for around $150.

Search the forum for Equation rp-21. I'll have mine in a couple of days. They're supposed to be the best in the $100.00 range...even $150 or higher. AKG 240's are very restrained...not very exciting, IMO...kind of weak bass. Have heard the opposite about the Grados, but haven't tried them myself.

I think I'm gonna have to go ahead and agree with Whitney here. AKG is best.

If you don't need the velour pads immediately, you can get a k240s (pleather pads) for ~$90
