well livewires are iem's, 701's are full sized headphones. hmm thats a hard one. akg 701's obviously, fully sound stage, richer sound. you just have to be able to "run" them

if i could only have one hp period, i'd choose livewires for portability. if i had just my $20 IM716 or even just $10 modded marshmallows, i would go for k701.

ultimately, i would go with k701 because for a custom, i wouldn't like something less than the best, the UE-10
