I cannot get new songs to show up on my AK240. I open the android file transfer program and the AK240 drive appears on my laptops. When I drag and drop new songs they show up in the folders in the android file transfer, but when you try to open them from the player they are not there. I have tried deleting the folder and re adding them and the same problem occurs. They are on the drive when looking via the laptop, but you cannot see the songs via the player. A reset did nothing. Help please. Thanks

As the AK240 is android based, you cannot do a direct drag and drop using a mac, you need to install an app to do that. Download the app in the below link and you can start dragging and dropping files into your AK240. I tried it before on android phones and worked perfectly.

I am using that app. I have put a lot of music on the player already. Now, using the app, the songs appear in the folder when viewing the app, but not when viewing from the player

I have noticed the files that won't transfer are from iTunes and they are all m4p format.  Could that be the issue?  I think they were uploaded from a CD a long time ago.  (Prior to me uploading to ALAC)

Im not very IT savvy but can I ask if you could copy those songs into a standalone folder before dragging them into your ak240? I noticed that i cannot usually drag and drop songs to another non apple storage directly from the itunes library.

I'm a little late getting here, but I'm having exactly the same problem.  Anyone have suggestions to resolve?

You indicated that the files are all in M4P format.  The problem is not with the AK240.  It is with the type of file that you are trying to copy.

You cannot transfer M4P files to the AK240 or to any other non-Apple dap.  M4P are copy protected Itunes files.  http://whatis.techtarget.com/fileformat/M4P-MPEG-4-Video-File

You can upgrade the files through Itunes Match but it costs money.  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1711

If the file is an old 128k I'm not sure I would bother.

Thanks for responding. However, some of the Files are AIFF as well. It seems to be a folder issue. I can transfer to the built in "Music" folder. But I will try your suggestion and copy CDs to a desktop folder and skip iTunes and see if that works. There has been a thought that it is a Maverick-AFTP incompatibility.

Thanks very much for the replies; very helpful.
I just graded up from the 120 to the 240 and had the same problem,
not realising that the OS of the 240 is completely different from the 120.
Great community we have!
