AK100 OR ROCKBOX IPOD CLASSIC 7 +JDS C5?

I can spend a lot less by buying amp and Ipod, will be using westone 4Rs. I'd appreciate some advice, will be mainly using Flac

I don't believe there is a stable RockBox on the Classic "7"/6 rev 2.  You could always just use ALAC though. If FLAC is a must, go for the AK100.

Doesn't Rockbox allow flac? I was under the impression that it did?

It works fine on iPod classic 7G, been running rockbox for over a year on mine.
I have the iPod + C5 combo, excellent setup!

Really? Using the standard bootloader?

Using emCore bootloader I think

Yes, emcore it is. But fairly stable. I really like the classic because of storage and form factor. It pairsbeautifully with the C5 as they are roughly the same size. The classics DAC isn't that bad as most say.

Cool, thanks. C5 is on its way, will try with my colorfly c3 first
