I have one, mostly for collection purposes. I actually sounds pretty sweet with Type I tapes, but can't handle metal or very thin ones (110/120min) well. The radio has great reception too. Only bad thing is all digital controls: used 120min tapes once, the tape got eaten, some got into the delicate parts or something, and now all it does is continuing auto-reversing when ever there is power. Need to get it fixed next time I return back to China or on my visit to Toronto.
P.S. It looks as good as that photo with better clarity.
Probably the tape eating got the belt worned out... that continuous auto-reversing thing usually happens when the belt is loose or the gears are not well greased...
I have no idea where you can get a new belt tho, gotta call up Aiwa for that... usually around 5 bucks or so... but you gotta get it from them since it's not a standardized part where you can just pick it up from any electronics stores...
