My ER4p cable gave up the ghost recently, presumably around the Y-spliter. I get occasional cut outs when I turn my head. Pretty impressive they lasted as long as they did (1 year) given how many beatings that cable has had. I've already contacted etymotic regarding the warranty policy but also wanted to explore my options at a *spare* or perhaps permanent use cable over the stock etymotic one.
I'm after something with build quality, i've noticed a bunch of stores on Amazon/Ebay that sell a bunch of well-built-looking cables but am not sure if they are *actually* well built.
