Hi,
http://www.shixingshiye.com/DAC/DAC707/AllDAC707.htm
From the company that produced the DAC in the Box (which Eddie Wu sells), they've produced a new one!
Eddie Wu isn't selling these new DAC in the Boxes yet, though.
The webpage above is in simplified chinese. I'm having a hard time translating all of the terms, so I'll leave other board members to do the task for me.
But some brief obvious notes:
4 versions will be released:
-the "normal" one
-one with volume control
-one with USB input
-one with wireless (?!)
The receiver chip is CS8416 and the DAC chip is CS4396/7/8 (there are multiple combinations with different dac chips and different op-amps; the old DAC in the box used LT1364CS).
There also seems to be another "balanced" input port that uses something that looks like ethernet cable... it's really unusual.
size: 64*25.5*75mm
The price still hasn't been announced, but this new gadget probably could get interesting...
