Does anyone know them or point me in the right direction? Offcours I know the Woo and Headphile models and they are gorgeous, but way to expensive for me, and shipped and with customs vat etc. even more. I'm looking for one that can stand or a table.

Depends on what you are after but yes, go to Ikea and look around. You didn't seem much like the DIY type but DIY is an option as well.

This eBay seller sells wooden headphone stands. I have contacted him and he can sell them to you for £15 + £3 postage (Royal Mail First Class Recorded). After losing out on the auction I decided just to buy a wooden banana stand and take out the metal hook.
