So long as the unit's analog line output level varies when one turns the volume knob--regardless of precise implementation--it belongs on this thread.  While we are at it, the Audiotrak Prodigy Cube also implements volume in the digital domain.

http://www.mav-audio.com/ The D1, $215 has both SS and Tube pre-outs. Selectable directed (fixed/variable) volume. Enjoyed mine so far, actually been very impressed for the price.
