AES/EBU and EMU1212m

The card is supposed to support AES/EBU standard but it only has a RCA output for digital audio. Am I supposed to use a RCA-XLR cable for such a connection? Would there be a good impedance matching?

The RCA connection is for a 75 ohm unbalanced coaxial cable and a XLR connection is for a 110 ohm balanced twisted pair cable. Thats a big mismatch.

The AES data stream format will not be much different for playback. Things like copy protection info is not included.
Normally a media converter is used to connect between 75 ohm coax and 110 ohm twisted pair.
