AFAIK the self titled is a studio album (apart from one song)

It is from their self titled debut album Aerosmith.

Don't mean to question you but I can only find the studio version linked to the self titled album e.g.

YouTube - Aerosmith - Dream On

just want to make sure before I buy the album as I don't really like much of their other stuff so don't want to waste money

I had a chance to listen a bit closer and it seems like version you linked to is a live version. I'm not sure from where though. Sorry for the mixup. This particular song has been on several Aerosmith releases.

Hrmm its not the Santiago concert I dont know it has the mtv credits at the end maybe that will help.
