Good luck and steady hands to everyone who is planning on taking on the Aegis build. Keenan has designed an amazing sounding, game over amp.
Looking forward to reading everyone's impressions on the build and sound.

Project is up: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/aegis-diy-tube-headphone-amplifier.965530/post-17224263

Put a lot of hours into this over a long period of time, and quite a few the past 24 hours, I'm exhausted!
I remember messaging you years ago half-joking about how awesome it would be if you made a diy kit someday to fill void of diy kits with higher end components. The mad lad actually went and did it!! Thank you so much for creating and sharing this monumental project with the community. It took a tremendous amount of grit and endurance to get to the finish line I’m sure. Bravo, legend!

Completely blown away with documentation and BOM detail, It would be just plain wrong not to build this.
Bill

Thanks! Anyone who has followed my DIY thread knows I have to go 100% on every project...the process hurts, but the results are usually pretty good.

Everyone please take special care on soldering the pins on the ELMA switch. I would consider that to be the hardest part of the project.

Now the long anxious wait to see if people can build it. Wishing everyone lots of success.

One other thing I didn't mention in the build document: Landfall also offers anodized chassis rather than powder coat. I would avoid it unless you really, really want it. The reason is the shop that does the anodization does not mask the mating faces of the chassis. To make a ground connection between them, you need to grind off the anodization with a Dremel tool. It's a PITA, and there's always the possibility that you scratch the finish accidentally while doing the grinding.

I just went through the assembly instruction and wanted to point out how thorough and detailed it is. It will be so hard to do something wrong lol. @L0rdGwyn you did a great job. Bravo.
I will take that challenge and absolutely do something wrong! :)

Lookin really nice 👍, I did order the pcb’s just in case I get some time over and do the build…🤗
If anyone in Sweden would like to split pcb order pm me, it was 5 pieces minimum…

Wow! What well done documentation and clear images.

My hats off to you Keenan, that is just so very cool. Excellent job to say the least. :)

The community owes you many kudos. You are such an asset to this hobby.

Good luck with the build's to all of you. I can't wait to see the final results.
