Well, I might sell my HD580's and I was planning buying an electrostat system but it's looking like too much of a task for me to take on right now. Instead, I'm looking for a closed for games/movies/music. I'll also take these on campus with me for studying and things like that.

So, I'm not sure if these would be good for my purposes at all, but what are the AKG K340's like? I'm mainly looking for a closed phone though. What should I be looking at? Thanks!

Edit: Budget would be up to $400 but it has wiggle room.

ATH W5000 is the best closed headphone I have heard.

D5000 gets lots of love on Headfi as well.

The D5000 would be very tough to beat. Have not heard the ATH W5000. Good luck. Geo
