Hey, so I'm very inexperienced in the field of music quality. I listen to a lot of classical, dub step, electro, indie, and hard rock.I have been using my V-Moda M80's with my ipod touch for quite a while. I have been looking at the Grado PS1000 as a replacement, but i have no clue on what amps to use or if i need to replace my player for higher quality. Please just leave your opinion on the best set-up options.

Maybe go a bit slower and get something mid-fi?
You want something transportable, or a desktop setup?

I want it mainly for a desktop setup, but may also use occasionally with a portable amp. I will test it out for sure before I buy it, but I know I'm going to eventually buy hi-fi and I feel like getting mid-fi first is just an extra step and adding on cost.
