I've been looking to buy earbuds with mic, in the UK, to be used for PC multiplayer gaming, at a budget of £80. Looking through previous recommendations, available in the UK, left me with the Edifier P180. Can anyone say what the mic on this is like - and would I need a CTIA type splitter cable, or OMTP, to connect it to a PC?
The reason for this odd choice: I have nerve damage on the side of my head, which precludes using a headphone, or even anything with an over the ear clip. An ear operation (a mastoidectomy) means I should NOT push anything into that ears canal! So IEMs are out. I did look at Aftershokz bone conducting headsets, but the over the ears part would most likely aggravate the damaged nerve.
