Hi all, new here.

I'm looking to get some headphones and need some advice to get me started.

I need headphones right now for listening to my turntable. I have a Music Hall mmf-5 and a Bellari tube phonostage. I'd like something I can listen straight from the Bellari. I only need these for this purpose and i'll be pretty much sitting about 10 feet from the Bellari. My housemates watch TV upstairs and I'd like to not hear that if possible.

My budget is around $150 and I'm pretty flexible. I'm not sure where to order either so if you could point me there I'd be happy.

i'm going with a pair of AKG K271's to start me off, thanks for the tips

hmm i would recommend open headphones if you dont need isolation. possibly sennheiser 595s. if you do need isolation, than your 271s will be fine.

Sorry you didn't get much help in the form of replys, but the AKG K271's are a well regarded HP around here and a solid choice, for sure!!! You may need an extention though to set comfortably 10ft distance away from your TT setup...
