Hi,

My third pair of Nuforce NE-7M's cable broke last week at the jack, so I need an new pair of IEM's!

I liked the 7M's because of its bass and the comfort. I mostly listen to jazz and electronic music (House, Techno).
My wants for a headphone are:

  1. A good bass, in depth and power.
  2. A warm sound. The overall feeling must be a warm bass/mid and a crisp high.
  3. preferably straight down, not over the ear.
  4. Good isolation and comfort.
  5. Used without amp with an iphone 4
  6. Do not need an mic/remote.
  7. below $100

I tried the Meelec a151 a while ago because of the great reviews it got, but I felt that music lost its soul with those, there was no warm sound and everything sounded a bit dull.
I thought that maybe I needed a proper reference monitor, but I've come back from that.

A quick read trough the 202 IEM review topic led me to these:
  1. Fischer Audio Consonance
  2. Nuforce NE-700X (succesor of my current ones)
  3. Thinksound ts02
  4. Fisher Audio eterna
  5. Jays t-Jays three
  6. Xears Nature N3i
  7. Xears TD-III v2
  8. ViSang R02 (Brainwavz ProAlpha)

I certainly haven't listened to most of your short list, but I think I can help: don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.  You've read the reviews, you know these are all good choices. So just pick one-perhaps based on comfort or availability-and be happy with it until you decide you need better!!!
