I just received the Cakewalk UA-1G today.  I need a sound card with 24bit/96KHz ability for ripping my vinyl collection into high resolution files. The ASIO compatibility comes in handy for recording.  I am listening to some FLAC files and my first impression is WOW.  Even mp3s at 256 kbps sounds very good.  This is driving a pair of HD580 directly from headphone out.  I will also be using this to play music from my computer to a 2-channel stereo setup.
 
There are some very positive reviews about this around the net.  Do a google search and read more about it before taking the plunge.
