How do I fix this. The right side earphone fell off. The bottom of rod appears threaded but will not screw into plastic retainer. Seems to have to be jammed in which will not hold. How is this rod supposed to be attached to plastic ring after it is slipped through square piece that identifies L and R side?

I called Grado in Brooklyn and they are sending me a replacement gimble no charge. How is that for customer service,Thanx Grado.
