There arent any stores in my area that carry any high end cans, so after hunting i managed to try some sennheiser momentums and really liked the sound, however i also really like the comfort and a different sort of sound from the akg k550's( the momentums wouldnt fit my ears well, anyone who has tried both how much larger are the earcups on the over ear version?) ( i felt like the momentums were... warmer and darker in a way,any opinions on the HD -25ii's?) i run my stuff though a fiio 5 amp and im looking for some close back headphones- music styles
Mostly rock(alt punk ska indie 70's 80's 60's you name it), orchestra, some electic(chillstep i want an enveloping sound but not uber bassy, just warm), some rap, and some acoustic. price range of 500$ max id prefer to spend less as college is growing nearer and nearer, since i cant find any other headsets to try out im hoping maybe some of you audio-scholars can help me out,
thanks

Based on U.S. pricing--all well below $500, the best cans for this (easily powered and at least significant portable use) are the Focal Spirit Pro, NAD VISO HP50, PSB M4U 1 and Sony MDR 7520.
