After almost 2 years i found my apple dual driver iems laying in a box. Thing is, they're utterly destroyed. I don't know what happened to them, but the cable is almost bare, the remote/mic assembly is just the a broken off piece of circuit board, and the jack is loose ad hell.
BUT the drivers work perfect. I managed to get contact with the cables and they sound as good as new.
SO, i would really love to recable these, there's only a problem: i can't pry them open.
Since i don't want to completely destroy the drivers ,too, i'm asking for help here:
TL;DR: how do i open up the apple dual driver iem cases without breaking the drivers?

They split between the metal and plastic but you're likely to snap a flange when doing so. You can always glue back. Careful when soldering. Use low heat and short duration to not float the crossover components. You could always just get some used/refurbished ones on Ebay for around $30.
