I've had Westone UM1s for 5 years now, and I absolutely love them.  Apart from the fact that they have started to unravel a bit (ugh), they have been awesome.  I love the feel, sound, formfactor...everything.
 
I am getting ready to get a new phone that I would like to be able to use handsfree with my UM1s.  The phone will function as an mp3 player and such and I really don't want to give up the comfort of my current IEMs.  That said, is there a way to add an in-line mic?  What have been you all's experience?
