I just recently (5 months ago) received a pair of sr-80's from my mom for a birthday present and have enjoyed them incredibly. I love music with a passion, and I have never heard music sound so wonderful. I am wondering what my next logical upgrade should be to enhance my listening experience the most. Upgrade to SR-225? Add amp? or Improve Source (currently 4g ipod and SB audigy) Any opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I suggest getting an amp like a PA2v2 or CMOY. I don't think you've seen all that the SR-80 is capable of yet without an amp. The iPod and the Audigy are perfectly respectable sources.

So the pa2v2 and cmoy work well with the sr-80? I have never heard a headphone amp

Sell the SR-80 and upgrade to the SR-225. There will be no reason to keep both once you've upgraded and it will ease the blow a little. I think entry level amps like cmoy will not provide as dramatic an improvement with your current headphones as moving up to the SR-225 would IMO.

Edit: You will also need to buy the Grado 1/4" to 1/8" adapter if you want to use the SR-225 with your iPod because a RadioShack standard adapter will place too much stress on your iPod's headphone jack.
