Hi all,
Looking for a little help if possible.
I'm current running a couple of mobile units:
1. Earman Sparrow - via balanced 2.5mm
2. iFi Hip Dac - via single 3.5mm
Currently combining it with my u12t's and Eros II (2.5mm) balanced.
Some people will know that the the Sparrow is far better on the balanced input, but it means i have to keep switching to the stock u12t cable to listen with Hip Dac.
Now, to resolve i bought a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter on amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08MTJXSYF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) In short, it's dog sh!t. Sound is muffled, broken and damp..
Ive therefore been looking at other options:
1. EA adapter: https://www.effectaudio.com/accessories/ultrashort-right-angled-adaptor-2-5mm-3-5mm-935.html
2. DD adapter: https://oidiosound.co.uk/ready-made-cables/stock-cables/dd-dj35a-dj44a
EA's one costs a fair bit more. Do you guys know if there's a difference between the 2 and if you have tried them or have any experience? Basically want it to sound the same as if I didn't use the adapter?
Thanks all.
Ed
