when i put them on and starting listening to music, right away i feel like a weird feeling in my inner ear and it feel uncomfortable. i dont get this with other headphones and i dont have the volume on very loud. is this normal for these headphone or is it defective?

What type of weird feeling? Are the pads touching your ear? or anything.
where did you bought the AD700?

its like when you wear headphones for a long time and you get that unpleasant feeling in your ear. it kinda make my ear plug up a bit.

I had an issue in that my ears would touch the drivers of the AD700, causing what felt like a slight shock at times.
 
I'm very static prone, which I'm sure didn't help any.
