While I wait for the Pint board to come up, I figured I should probably build the Mint I've been putting off. I'm thinking of using the AD 823, but I'll also probably use the Mint with some low impedance cans. Is this asking for trouble or do the buffers take care of this?

The buffers isolate the opamp from the load, so the low current capability of the AD823 is not an issue in the MINT

I love the sound the AD823 produces buffered by BUF634's, with my Senns.

You, now I'm actually thinking about using it in my Pimeta.

I have the AD823 in my pimeta, and I find it too hot and aggressive for my Grados. Like it a lot with my HD580 though.

Same here...if I wasn't EQ-ing, I'd swap 8620 for 823 just to enjoy DT's "Live Scenes From a Memory".

Garrett, with 8620 you might lose some edge on cymbals, but you get more detail and wider soundstage....and LSFAM has soooo wide of a soundstage
