Acoustic strings and voice played very quietly into HP's that have moderate isolation.

HP choice criteria

Budget:
Up to Shure SRH1540

Program material:
Voice and acoustic strings

Isolation:
Moderately good

Design:
Closed

Comfort:
High

Accuracy:
Would prefer honest and uncolored

Playback volume:
Needs to be very very low indeed

Treble harshness and stridency:
None (if possible)

N.B. Warm and lush would probably suit my ears best but I realise this is counter to detailed, accurate, honest.

I'm checking out Shure and Beyer. Which models and versions spring to mind please?

Do any other makes of HP have a model that might fit with the above?

N.B. Maybe a CLOSED HD650 might be just the thing?

Thank you

Shure 940, Momentum over ear, Sony mdr 1r are good low budget options. For more details or thoughts feel free to message me or just post your budget on here so Billybob, I, and others can assist ya!

Great! I would go check out the Shure 940/1540, akg k550/545, Alpha Dogs, Sony mdr 1-R, sennheiser momentums, audio technica W1000x/A900x/esw9.

I know it doesn't help to have me just throw names at you but if you've done any research on those and are particularly interested I any, I can give more details! Just see if any of those trip your trigger, bud.
