Does anyone have any opinion on the Acoustic Research AR77XB turntable?

I might be able to score one that is supposedly in very good condition--obviously I'll have to verify that first--for $100. If it's in good condition, is it a good table? And is that a good asking price for a used/vintage one?

This forum might be of use (and from a cursory look, especially if you need to repair the table). Don't know too much else...

It's not a great price, but it's not outrageous if it's a really good specimen either. You REALLY have to be careful about the headshell. Both the cartridge lugs and the threads on the headshell where it attaches to the arm are made of plastic. If either of these strip, your headshell is useless. I've seen mint headshells reach $90+ on ebay.
