Hi,

I'm a music producer (and music fan) looking for some nice IEM's that are universal fit which are great for referencing recordings while on-the-go.   My normal headphones I alternate between for reference are ATH-M50x, Audeze LCD-X, and Senn HD600 through a Grace amp.

But now I need some good IEM's that sound good even w/ no external amp that are comfortable and provide good isolation (while flying, for instance), have nice bass extension without bloat, but that have an accurate midrange and non-fatiguing but extended high end.

I've been told that Grado GR10e's might just be the ticket, though I'm worried about comments I hear about their possible lack of bass.   I'm also considering offerings from Westone or Shure, or those beautiful Sennheiser IE800's, though they are pretty far out of my price range.

Would love some recommendations.  Thank you very much in advance!

Also A-T CKR9 and Flare R2A (but the latter need an amp to give of their best).
