How do you power these things? I need a really budget amp I suppose.

Just get yourself one of those cheap Class T amps (25 W RMS is plenty)  for those speakers. Don't expect much from those speakers however, the T amp will scale nicely with better monitors (passive ones) down the road.

Get the Topping TP21.

It's available on eBay.

I picked one up, and I can tell you that it's a lot more smooth sounding than the Maverick Audio A1 class a/b amplifier.

Thanks Peete for the information that a Tamp will go nicely with better passive monitors down the road.

Well you can look for reviews on the chip itself vs the amp's model number.

Such as TA2020 amp review or something.

There's quite a few people with the TA2020 chip based Tamp over the web.
Most of them are people with Tamps made by Muse Audio.

The behringer b2030 and b2031 passives perform very well for there price, so you might find the 1c's perform better than you expect.

i'd recommend you get 1 of the T amps or the fiio A1.
