Has anyone ABX tested any of these?

Currently I have two soundcards installed, Audigy2ZS (5.1 gaming) and AV-710 (music) in Vista x64

I've been thinking of upgrading to SLI but it leaves room for only one PCI device and that is where my dilemma begins.. asking myself: "Would I notice a difference between AV-710 digital out vs A2ZS's?" Would anyone?? Is ignorance truly bliss?

I would be losing native ASIO, bit-perfect and adding 44 to 48khz conversion..

The AV-710 doesn't have native ASIO. You should be able to use ASIO4ALL on the Audigy 2 ZS. Kernel Streaming should also work (and is my preference since it doesn't involve hacks).

If you need 5.1 channel output for gaming, stick with the Audigy 2 ZS for now and use a resampler like the one in Foobar to resample to 48 kHz for music. Also, if a game offers it, select the 48 kHz sample rate. This will prevent the card from doing all of the conversions itself.

Or... Sell both cards and get a X-Fi.
