Hmm........I had been contemplating getting a set of either of these cans, but there's not to pick and choose between them. I do like the idea of -32 dB of isolation claimed by the HD280's. What about the coiled cord issue? Do they short out after a few years (or less) of use?

thanks for posting that link, it was really helpful in getting insight into the 280 when compared to the v6, as it has always been a headphone i was curious about.
