Suggest me a portable amp? Is the FiiO E3 good enough? Should I wait for the E5?

if you are about to buy the x10 using the "half off" coupon code for $175 at klipsch.com, I don't know why you'd hesitate.

These will do everything you want them to do an (from what I've read) are only bested by um2 tf10 se530 which cost ~$300.

However, some people prefer x10 over the previous 'phone, so I'd say it's a no brainer.

From what I read, they might be even better than the TF10, while I 'm expecting them to trump the SE530 and UM2 without any fatigue.

I am waiting for mine and I am expecting good things from them.

Cheers.

That would be awesome! I don't know where I can try the 530's or TF10's though... would be nice to compare the sound signatures

I probably will not have enough time to post some pics up before the deal ends :/ unless if I take 2 or 3 day :O

For those considering the X10s, here is how Klipsch describes the difference betwen them and the X5s:

Besides price and size, the main difference in sound is the X5s have more detailed mid and highs, while the X10 is more bass heavy.

Hope that helps!
Thanks,
Amy

I just went a little funny in the head and ordered a SECOND pair of the X5s.
While I still drool over some higher priced models, when I consider the sound and the comfort level, it's a no-brainer.

Too bad no one's answered the portable amp question yet, I'd like to know as well, since I just recently ordered my X10's.

On a bit of a related note, do they ever email you with a tracking number and stuff? I got an email saying the order was acknowledged, but no tracking number or anything yet.

I didn't get a tracking # in an email...I logged into my account at Klipsch, it listed the order and after a day or two..the invoice said "shipped" and had a tracking # in it. Mine were supposed to be here today but I missed the fed-ex guy by 2 hrs. They gotta have a signature. I was bummed...gotta wait till tomorrow now. So curious to hear them..
