I have a X-Fi Prelude and am completely unsure how to get pure bit-perfect playback. I want to try using it purely as a transport to the new DAC I purchased. (Considering USB is locked out at 16/44 where I can reach the devices 24/96 with my prelude)

I am under the assumption bit-matched playback = bit-perfect for the x-fi but I could be wrong.

I want to minimize the amount of process's between my audio player and the external dac basically.

Yea I got everything figured out yesterday but thanks for the update.

I just disabled DDLive and use the spdif directly w/ Bit-Matched. Then in foobar WASAPI to skip Vista sound settings. It outputs bit-perfect without any processing or sampling of any sort.
