About mod pad of Grado / Alessandro

Hi all, I've read some posts about the mod pads. I'm interested in the quarter mod on comfy pad but I'm not sure how to do so... Is it that I just need to make a hole with a diameter of 1/4 inch in the middle of the pad? Thanks a lot!

Buy the Senn 19545 replacement pads. Cheap thrills at around $4.00.

Get a 1 - 1 1/4 inch socket or short section of pipe. Line it up and pop it good with a hammer on a hard surface. Your pad will now look like a donut and you're good to go.

Thanks! So the hole should be in a diameter of 1 - 1 1/4 inches? Can I just cut it with a scissors...?

You can do it any way you want. There is no "official" way to cut or an "official" size to make the hole - just suggestions of what has worked for others. Go crazy!

I've read that Exacto knives work very good, though a sharp pair of scissors would probably do the job.

The method I describe creates a professional looking cut....otherwise you can do whatever you like as OneMalt describes.

or you can use a quarter to draw a circle in the middle of the pad and then cut it out with a pair of sharp scissors. can't get any easier than that...
